Jaworzyna Krynicka by gondola lift - to the top in just a few minutes

Jaworzyna Krynicka (1,114 m above sea level) is the most popular peak in the Sądecki Beskids and its natural viewing point. Although it is not the highest peak in the region—that title belongs to Radziejowa (1,266 m above sea level)—Jaworzyna is called the "queen" of the Sądecki region.

How the gondola lift works

A gondola lift from Czarny Potok, over 2,200 meters long, leads to the summit. The journey takes just a few minutes in comfortable cabins. This is a convenient way to reach the summit without any effort—ideal for families with children and seniors. For active people, there's also the option of hiking along marked trails.

What will you see from the top

From the summit, a vast panorama of the Beskid ridges unfolds. On clear days, the distinctive silhouette of the Tatra Mountains appears on the horizon. At the summit, there's a refreshment stand and an observation tower, from which the panorama is even more expansive.

In winter - skiing

During the winter season, Jaworzyna Krynicka is one of the largest ski resorts in the Beskid Sądecki Mountains. It offers slopes of varying difficulty levels and chairlifts. Current slope conditions can be checked on the resort's online cameras.

In summer - trails and bikes

After the ski season, the peak becomes a destination for hikers and mountain bikers. From here, ridge trails lead along the Jaworzyna Krynicka range, connecting with trails towards the Poprad Valley.

Practical tips

It's best to plan your gondola ride for a clear day—overcast skies diminish the panorama. It can be much colder and windier at the top than at the bottom, so even in summer, it's worth bringing an extra layer of clothing. The lower station in Czarny Potok has parking and good connections to the center of Krynica.

Regardless of the season, the gondola lift to Jaworzyna Krynicka is one of the attractions of the Sądecki Beskids that should not be missed.
